Best skateboard wheels, gel or hard?

I have more small hard wheels since I heard his best. But my friends longboard wheels gel, walks pleasant, whereas if you reach a road full of potholes and badly paved, I have to pick up my board and walk. If I gel wheels for a smooth ride, what cons be?

Because the handle is just right when it comes to doing tricks. using gel can have more grip than expected. and you bears little umph / pop when you do tricks. Gel think it's a little better for cruising cause not only give you a smoother ride, riding over pebbles and cracks mini easily unlike hard urethane / polyurethane wheels.
