Do a lot of people still play Guild Wars: Factions?
Also, can you play the prophecies campaign in factions?
There are a lot fewer people than you saw before the release of Nightfall and Eye-of-the-North, but there are still plenty. If you cannot find people in the American districts to form groups with, you can usually find groups forming in the International districts.
If you have a character in Guild Wars Factions, or any of the three chapters, you can, after achieving some small successes and getting to certain locations, move those characters to either of the other areas. However, you must have an account set up for those areas and have linked your accounts together. For instance, I own all three ‘chapters’ and can freely move my Prophecies ‘native’ characters into either Factions or Nightfall. Same with my characters created in the other two chapters.
But, if you have only purchased one part of the game, that’s the only part you Can Play in. Plenty to do just in Factions, but sooner or later you’ll probably want to go into the other parts of the game.
