Actually Boba Fett blasted his way out of the Sarlacc. Dengar happened to be waiting in the area of The Great Pit of Carkoon because he sent his bride-to-be, Manaroo, up for a high-altitude recon in his ship The Punishing One. As he was there the keelbeam he was on started to roll slightly and he realized where he was at. After a rotting stench filled the air he realized that the Sarlacc was dead. He saw a figure on the dune by where the pit was and upon his arrival there realized it was Boba Fett.
