Railroad Club
A question about train observers?

I was in a village the other day and walk past a railroad crossing. I thought something strange or bad would happen because all these guys were standing around with walkie talkies and cameras. I asked a man if something had happened and said that were not "rail fans". said he did it every weekend. The FREINDLY guyz seem sufficient, but wow were Very Rare. Something like fellow radio my father, except the ham with bad hygiene. Observer train are mostly introverted Age Girls? Some ladies walking around, looking bewildered and then laughed at themselves as alienated —– obviously amused by these men. Is the married men and have children and all? Is this a club or a gang or something for men dealing with women DONT?

That's a very unfortunate stereo-type – unfortunate, because its true for some railfans (the poor hygiene and women's business). I appreciate them all. To address the former, who were not "walkie-talkie" instead of bars (to receive radio only) set in train frequencies. It gives a hand to hand when the train is coming. Secondly, its also perfectly legal and normal to photograph trains. There is many people who photograph of aircraft, ships, birds, classic cars – the interest (in particular a photograph) on trains is no different. In any case, I'm in the 18-25 demographic, hygiene have a very normal interest in women (I like all hot I see), and I'm pretty normal prefectly. Not every weekend railfan. Such after only a couple of times a month. I bring my Nikon SLR with my 70-300mm telephoto zoom lens, along with my 28-80mm Fisheye zoom lens, and exposing some of Kodak Ektachrome 200 and some trains. Some railroad company have calendars and accept submissions of photos. There are plenty of train magazines and books, even more than the images need. Photos of railfans that in 1800 and is now considered a special price for the history books and publications. I plan to marry a woman, have children, and continue photographing trains. There is nothing unusual it.
