What was the sequel to the original transformers the movie?
I seem to remember seeing Optimus Prime in some sort of junk yard and he was pure red and not under his own control. It seem to be set after the original movie. I believe he was brought back as well. It was probably just a regular episode and not a movie.
I think you might be remembering “The Return of Optimus Prime”
There is a scene with a battle in a junkyard but the “pure red” character was Rodimus who was infected withe the “Hate Plague”. Optimus had to be cated with a special alloy to prevent himself from becoming infected and he had to fight Rodmius in order to get the Autobot Matrix back.
