The Original Transformers Galvatron go really crazy?

Ok I saw the Transformers Animated Megatron and Galvatron was updated. Galvatron was in any case, a powerful leader and mortal thought of the film. However, watching episodes of Transformers after that seemed a little worried and some bots even called him mad. Was there something wrong with you mentally?
