Do you have to absorb Great Northern beans before cooking nite?
I want to make ham and beans today in the slow cooker. I havent done this for a long time and want to know if its essential to soak beans over nite for some reason. Can I wash and put beans in the crock pot for cooking all day today or should be soaked for some reason? Why soak beans nite?
No. .. You can also do put beans to a boil in a pot with water. Remove from heat and cover and leave to soak one hour to carry them forward. Drain and then continue with your address.
